We're Tasting

Delightfully spiced, with a cup full of dark plum, golden raisin and clove. Medium full body and a clean, creamy mouthfeel. Medium low acidity and high sweetness.

About

This is a 100% yellow tabi lot separation. The tabi variety is a cross between bourbon, typica and Timor hybrid. The former two add their renowned cup quality, while the Timor hybrid lends its disease-resistant character. Originally developed by the FNC (National Federation of Coffee Producers), the tabi variety has become a sought after variety for both its sensory experience and sustainable production.

This offering is grown in naturally shaded conditions and produced organically, with no certification. Cherry maturation is slowed, allowing for an abundance of sugars to develop before an extended drying period, which increases complexity in the cup. The Liz-Andela family take great care of their land, and the favour is returned in fantastic coffees like this one.

Price paid by LULO to the Liz-Andela family: $13usd/kg.
